They prefer savannas, grasslands, inland wetlands and some other habitats. Black crowned cranes is largely a resident with local daily and seasonal movements of up to several dozen kilometres. They are a generalist omnivore, what means that they can eat all types of food. For example, Black crowned cranes eat small grain crops, small plants, small vertebrates and small invertebrates -- insects, molluscs, fish and others. In Asia, the crane is a symbol of happiness and eternal youth. I think, this black birds with gold on their wings and red and gold crowns on their heads are too. But habitat loss and degradation are significant threats, occurs though drought, wetlands drainage and conversion for agriculture. Their population is decreasing, but I hope, people can save them and help them to increase their number. I want to start series arts and YCHs dedicated to animal and plants species of our planet with small parts of information about them. And any new art I'll write new information that I can find in books, articles, researches and other internet. Get my love for you and love the World!
